Job Focus:The Director of Nursing and Health Professions leads, administers, instructs and advances the instructional programs, accreditation, curricula and courses of study in health profession related programs, to provide for an environment which fosters positive attitudes, creativity, and learning in accordance with appropriate accreditation/certification standards. Under general direction of the Vice President of Instructional Services, this position instructs some courses in the Health Professions programs as appropriate and performs a variety of administrative duties, as required, to assist and evaluate instructors in educating students from different backgrounds, in the classroom and in the lab, using a variety of teaching methods.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Current unrestricted State of Utah Registered Nursing license
2. Master's Degree in Nursing from an Accredited Institution of Higher Learning
3. Previous post-secondary teaching experience in nursing
4. Demonstrated successful personnel management background
5. Proficient computer skills
6. Demonstrated ability to maintain excellent customer relations
7. Must successfully pass criminal background check
8. Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Previous experience in administration in post-secondary nursing education
2. Certified Nursing Educator (CNE)
3. National certification in area of nursing expertise

Note: Related work experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
