Responsibilities:

As the Director of Nursing in Training, you will:

• Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) in overseeing nursing operations and ensuring quality care
• Supervise nursing staff to provide 24/7 coverage and maintain care standards
• Step into the role of DON during their absence, ensuring continuity of care and leadership
• Lead and coordinate care planning for residents, ensuring personalized and compassionate care
• Oversee competency testing and professional development for nursing personnel
• Prepare for and manage state inspection surveys
• Collaborate with other departments to enhance resident care and facility operations
• Be available for emergency calls, providing 24-hour on-call support
• Build and lead a strong nursing leadership team, fostering growth and development
• Address and resolve resident or family concerns with empathy and professionalism
• Work closely with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure all care orders are fulfilled

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Missouri
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a skilled nursing facility
• At least 2 years of nursing supervisory experience
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Reliable transportation
