Responsibilities:
As the Director of Nursing in Training, you will:
- Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) in overseeing nursing operations and ensuring quality care
- Supervise nursing staff to provide 24/7 coverage and maintain care standards
- Step into the role of DON during their absence, ensuring continuity of care and leadership
- Lead and coordinate care planning for residents, ensuring personalized and compassionate care
- Oversee competency testing and professional development for nursing personnel
- Prepare for and manage state inspection surveys
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance resident care and facility operations
- Be available for emergency calls, providing 24-hour on-call support
- Build and lead a strong nursing leadership team, fostering growth and development
- Address and resolve resident or family concerns with empathy and professionalism
- Work closely with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure all care orders are fulfilled
Requirements:
- Active RN license in Missouri
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a skilled nursing facility
- At least 2 years of nursing supervisory experience
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Reliable transportation
