About the Job
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Director of Nursing to join our team. As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of nursing care within our facility, ensuring the highest standards of quality and excellence in resident care.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and delegate work assignments for nursing staff
- Coordinate staffing needs to ensure adequate coverage at all times
- Develop and implement comprehensive care plans for residents
- Collaborate with physicians to ensure proper medical care and treatment for residents
- Communicate regularly with residents and their families to address any concerns or questions
- Provide case management services to residents as needed
- Facilitate and encourage family involvement in resident care and activities
- Investigate incidents and accidents involving residents and take appropriate action
- Identify safety hazards within the facility and implement corrective actions in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and requirements
- Oversee the recruitment, hiring, training, supervision, and evaluation of all nursing staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality services
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing
- 2 years or more of management experience in an assisted living facility
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and physicians
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
- Commitment to providing compassionate and quality care to residents
- Ability to work outside of normal operating hours as needed
