We are seeking a new Director of Nursing to join our team. You will be responsible for the overall supervision, provision, and quality of nursing care in the Health Center, Assisted Living and Memory Care. As a part of your role you will manage the selection, training, discipline and supervision for all nursing related Health Center personnel and will be responsible for the procurement of appropriate supplies and equipment and operating within the departmental budget. You will be joining a team with two nurse managers, and a nurse scheduler/ health center manager. As a member of the Nursing department, you will work with fellow directors, nurse managers, Nurses, CNAs, Therapy management, and Social workers, and report to our Associate Executive Director.
What You Will Do:
Assist the development, organization and operation of ALF services for the Health Center, Assisted Living and Memory Care
Coordinate nursing services of residents including the procurement of outside sources such as: Home Health Care Services, private duty, hospice, rehabilitation services, psychological,
Maintain an effective restorative care program in collaboration with therapy provider
Ensure completion of all new hire training, with completion of new hire checklists
Select, train, evaluate, and discipline all nursing services personnel including timely completion of written orientation evaluations and annual performance evaluations of all nursing staff
Develop and maintain a schedule of daily rounds and assignments of duties for all nursing staff to assure 24-hour coverage
Develop appropriate action plans as needed for quality improvement
Maintain clinical skills and stay knowledgeable of current standards of nursing practice through nursing education related to geriatrics
Ensure clinical developments of residents are reported to their families and/or responsible party, physicians, the Medical Director, the Administrator of Health Services and State, as necessary
Review nursing requirements of each resident admitted to the Health center and assist the attending physician in planning care
Oversees the care plan development for residents.
Effectively manage nursing staff within the area of responsibility, providing direction and setting expectations consistent with the goals of Eastcastle Place
Possess management and organizational skills to oversee direct report(s); to include; interviewing, onboarding, performance management, performance reviews, monthly training expectations, team building, employee relations and/or terminations.
Regularly audits clinical systems and processes to promote and ensure compliance.
Ensure compliance of State and Federal regulatory changes, regulations and req’s and staying current.
What You Will Bring:
Our ideal candidate will have 2 years of nursing management experience and the following credentials/skills:
Active RN license through State of Wisconsin
CPR certification
Proven Organization skills
