Ideal Candidate Qualifications A Director of Nursing (DON) :
- 3-5 years of A Director of Nursing (DON) or Assistant Director of Nursing (DON) experience in long-term care (LTC) preferred
- Licensed as an RN in the state of Wisconsin
- Strong communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills
- Well-versed in state and federal long-term care regulations
- Knowledge of Wisconsin Survey Rules & Regulations, Medicare, and Medicaid
Your Impactful Role As A Director of Nursing (DON):
- Define and uphold high standards of nursing practice within the facility
- Lead and manage the nursing staff with focus on training, evaluation, and supervision
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
- Monitor and manage departmental budgets to ensure responsible resource use
- Foster a positive, supportive atmosphere for both residents and team members
