Position: Director of Nursing
Type: Direct Hire
Title: Director of Nursing
Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 Annually
Bonus: Bonus potential
Reports to: CEO
# of Direct Reports: Approximately 35 clinical staff
Volume: 220-240 cases with 4 ORs (currently using 3)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, no weekends or holidays (with some flexibility depending on caseload)
Accountabilities / Responsibilities: The Director of Nursing is responsible for all aspects of nursing care delivery in the facility. They will assume responsibility as the OR, Preop, and PACU department lead. The Director of Nursing is also responsible for overseeing the facility's quality improvement, risk management, infection control, and education of the teammates. As a Registered Nurse, the Director of Nursing is responsible for working in patient care. The Director of Nursing is also responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and coordinating patient care from admission to discharge.
Provides leadership oversight to ensure patient needs are met by instructions of physicians and the facility’s policies & and procedures.
Demonstrates respect for co-workers & and leadership and develops positive working relationships within departments.
Communicates with courtesy when interacting with patients, physicians, procedure schedulers, vendors and the public – in person, on the telephone, or by email.
Analyzes and correlates clinical data with patient’s medical and nursing care.
Provides direction to others that is clear, concise and promotes efficiency throughout the areas of the facility
Recognizes legal policy limits and individual practice.
Key Qualifications:
Must be an active RN
BSN preferred
ASC experience is STRONGLY preferred (willing to consider candidates with a hospital background)
Experience in Pre-op, PACU, or OR roles
Strong leadership experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role
Active BLS/ACLS, or Successful completion of the courses within 90 days of employment or documentation
Hands-on clinical role—must have experience working on the floor
Clinical teaching/education experience in nursing is a plus
Comfortable with technology (EMR transition, no paper records)
