Responsible for development and updating of all processes and procedures supporting the field Operations for Wind, Solar, Renewable Services and Industrial Divisions. Working with all Operational Divisions to ensure our teams are in compliance with company safety, quality and procedural policies.
Location & Travel: This is a remote position, which can be based anywhere in the U.S. This position supports our business across the United States and can expect to travel up to 50% of the time.

MasTec Renewables group is part of the MasTec Clean Energy & Infrastructure business segment. MasTec’s Clean Energy and Infrastructure Group (CE&I) is a $4 billion annual revenue business unit that provides construction services for industrial facilities; building products manufacturers, power generation facilities, manufacturing plants; solar, wind, and thermal energy plants; buildings, and infrastructure.
Responsibilities:ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Lead, promote and comply with all Company safety policies and procedures
- Manage Operational Excellence team in development and documentation of all required processes and procedures to support field operations in Wind, Solar, RS and Industrial divisions
- Develop and manage assessment program for the health of all field operations
- Work closely with divisional Directors to understand and support field priorities, identify key improvement opportunities that are aligned with business priorities, and prioritize accordingly
- Oversee the ongoing execution of operational excellence utilizing problem solving methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and/or similar methodologies to advance our strong safety and quality culture.
- Align with Quality Director in ensuring efficiency of Q&OE team in their support of each Operating Division
- Support client satisfaction goals as put forth in the strategic plan
- Responsible for developing strong relationships with key vendors, owners and clients as well as other internal customers
- Work directly with Safety Organization on all employee training and development resources
- Interface with all staff to maintain an open line of communication and reporting
- Interface with all divisional management teams, attending appropriate meetings and contributing to the overall success of each division
- Lead, develop, and retain Operational Excellence team
- Visit jobsites and operation centers on an ongoing basis as needed
- Other duties as requested by the Sr Director of Quality & Operational Excellence and Division VP's.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university in quality, industrial technology, business management, power generation, renewable energy, science or related major
- Minimum of ten years of operations management experience
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Take reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward Wanzek's Zero Injury principles
- Read, analyze and interpret blueprints, professional journals, technical procedures, contracts or governmental regulations
- Write reports, business correspondence and document project activities
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from project managers, superintendents, clients, customers, top management, public groups, boards of directors and the general public
- Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume
- Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
- Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Primavera, Viewpoint and Construction Software
