Axionova Engineering Limited is on the lookout for an experienced and strategic-minded Director of Operations to lead and optimize our operations team. This is a senior role that will ensure our operational efficiency aligns with company goals and industry standards. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in operations management, preferably within the maintenance or construction industry, and possess a proven track record of leading teams and improving operational processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning and Collaboration:
- Work closely with department heads to define goals, streamline workflows, and drive productivity across all teams.
- Participate in project planning to ensure resources are appropriately allocated and deadlines are met.
Operational Management:
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans in line with regulatory standards, ensuring maximum efficiency of machinery and infrastructure.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including scheduling and managing regular maintenance of facilities and equipment.
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor the operations supervisor and other team members, offering guidance and support.
- Establish clear performance standards, conduct regular performance reviews, and foster a results-oriented team culture.
- Talent Management:
- Develop structured processes for recruiting, on boarding, training, and managing team members.
- Implement clear protocols for performance appraisals, ensuring consistent professional development opportunities for staff.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement strategies to enhance operational workflows, minimizing bottlenecks and maximizing productivity.
- Regularly review and update processes to align with evolving industry standards and best practices.
- Communication and Reporting:
- Maintain open lines of communication with other department heads to ensure alignment of objectives and smooth project execution.
- Provide regular reports on operational performance to senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree or higher in Business Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of 2 years in a management or supervisory position within operations, maintenance, or construction.
- Proven track record in developing and executing maintenance and operational plans.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with a talent for identifying team strengths and delegating tasks effectively.
