Overview:
Gecko Hospitality is leading the search for an experienced and dynamic Director of Operations for a renowned upscale restaurant group with multiple concepts in the Greater Miami area. This hands-on leader will play a pivotal role in the overall success of the group, ensuring operational excellence across all locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Oversee the daily operations of all restaurant locations, ensuring consistent adherence to company standards, SOPs, and brand identity.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor location directors and management teams, conducting regular meetings to set goals, assess performance, and implement improvements.
- SOP Enforcement: Ensure all locations follow company-standard operating procedures, and take corrective actions when necessary.
- Tech Savvy Leadership: Utilize technology to streamline operations, including POS systems, inventory management, and employee scheduling platforms.
- Marketing Collaboration: Understand and apply modern approaches to marketing, including social media strategies, customer engagement platforms, and loyalty programs.
- Hands-On Approach: Be a roll-up-your-sleeves leader, working closely with teams on the floor when needed to ensure smooth operations and provide guidance.
- Financial Oversight: Analyze and manage P&L statements for each location, creating strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Growth Focused: Identify opportunities for growth and expansion within the market, while ensuring that all current locations operate at peak efficiency.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of multi-unit restaurant operations management experience, preferably in upscale or fine dining environments.
- Proven track record of managing and mentoring teams across various locations.
- Strong understanding of SOPs, health and safety regulations, and operational best practices.
- Tech-savvy with experience in modern restaurant management software and marketing tools.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a hands-on, proactive attitude.
