This is a full-time remote position in Miami, Florida offering $90,000 salary plus up to 10% bonus with benefits inclusive of immediate health/dental/vision coverages,15 days of vacation, 5 sick days, 401k Plan with company match and more. Must be able to travel, when necessary, which may include overnight stays.
As the Director of Operations, you will participate in the development, planning, and operations of a hospitalist program to fulfill programmatic directions and goals. This will include, but not limited to program strategies, outcomes and satisfaction targets and related measures to achieve total quality improvement. You will also collaborate to ensure continual efficient and compliant operational performance of the department and all related areas; develop support systems for referrals; provide assessment and recommendations regarding staffing and support revenue cycle functions; and other quality initiatives. You will be called upon to directly interface with our customers. This will include Physicians, Physician Extenders, and Hospital Clinical Staff and Leadership. You will be asked to participate in analyzing operational and clinical performance both for the organization and also our Hospital and Physician partners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinates administrative functions. Assists in planning and supporting the program development of the operations department (including onboarding, training, etc.).
- Coordinates activities including growth objectives, data planning, developing goals and objectives, and desired outcomes of the hospitalist programs.
- Serves as a liaison with facility administration and provider group in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating operational and clinical performance.
- Assists in reviewing the comprehensiveness of hospitalist program on an ongoing basis and assists in developing strategies for program adaptation to market changes.
- Monitors hospitalist program components relative to criteria as determined by facilities and provider groups regulatory agencies as well as internally, by the organization.
- Assists in data collection for preparation of reporting related to budgets for the department and forecasting for budgetary purposes.
- Assists in developing and maintaining objectives and policies and procedures to ensure the efficient operation of the department.
- Strives to streamline operations and effectively apply new concepts and techniques for positive outcomes. Identifies and implements technology to improve operations.
- Collaborates and has consistent communication with multiple departments within and outside of the organization.
- Assists with coordinating efforts to prioritize the needs of programs across departmental lines.
- Participates in monitoring and evaluating a program’s inception and performance and routinely monitors performance for volumes, referrals, and trends.
- Keeps abreast of all billing, coding, and reimbursement related issues as they apply to the practice and assists in staff education in regard to these changes.
- Establishes and maintains a working relationship with physician staff with respect to their compliance and performance related to billing, coding, and regulatory agency standards.
- Establishes and maintains a working relationship with key personnel in partnering facilities and provider groups to ensure program growth and success.
- Ensures the continual efficient and compliant operational performance of the department.
- Assists in initiatives that will develop relationships with provider groups and facilities in needed markets under the direction of the Vice President of Operations and Chief Medical Officer.
- Will serve as a point of contact between facility administration and clinical staff and the provider groups to ensure quality and satisfaction.
- Implements new programs, protocols, and methods to track quality metrics and adjusts as needed.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must have 8 years of experience or greater in a Skilled Nursing Facility, Hospital administration, Physician Practice/Group or an equivalent leadership role.
- Must have experience in operations for the hospital-based physician services.
- Cannot be excluded from participation in any state or federal programs such as Medicare or Medicaid.
- Must have working knowledge of basic computer tools, including Microsoft Office Suite; Adobe Products; Google Products; and other commonly used electronic / computer software.
- Must be able to communicate effectively via both verbal and written means.
- Must be able to always present in a professional manner to all customers.
- Must have access to consistent and reliable internet and telephone services.
- Must be able to tolerate sitting for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to travel, when necessary, which may include overnight stays.
- Remote work environment, requiring reliable internet and telephone service.
- Occasional onsite visits to clinical settings.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
