Are you a seasoned Operating Room Director with a passion for surgical excellence and team management? We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and proactive Permanent Director of Perioperative Services to join our team. This role requires a visionary leader who can ensure the highest standards of perioperative care, patient safety, and team collaboration. You will be responsible for the overall strategic planning, budget management, and operation of our surgical department, which includes the operating room, pre-operative, and post-operative units.
Responsibilities:
As the Permanent Director of Perioperative Services, you will:
1. Oversee all perioperative services, ensuring the delivery of exemplary patient care, adherence to safety standards, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
2. Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of surgical services.
3. Manage the department's budget, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and cost-effectiveness.
4. Foster a collaborative and conducive environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and continuous learning among staff.
5. Coordinate with other healthcare professionals, departments, and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and patient satisfaction.
6. Stay abreast with the latest advancements in surgical procedures and integrate them into practice, as appropriate.
7. Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives, policy development, and staff training programs.
8. Handle any escalated issues, complaints, or conflicts professionally and effectively.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this pivotal role should have:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Operating Room or Perioperative Services Director.
2. Current RN License w/ extensive OR RN experience is required.
3. Proficiency in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
4. CNOR preferred.
5. Extensive knowledge of surgical procedures and operating room protocols.
6. Strong problem-solving abilities, decision-making skills, and a results-oriented approach.
7. An unwavering commitment to patient safety, quality care, and service excellence.
