ABOUT THE POSITION
Visante is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Pharmacy to lead our Ambulatory Infusion Services line. This role, under the direction of the Visante Leadership team, will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction for ambulatory infusion services at client sites. This includes managing both home infusion and ambulatory infusion suite services. Reporting to the Visante leadership team, this role involves overseeing all aspects of ambulatory infusion services, including operational, financial, programmatic, clinical, and personnel activities, to ensure superior patient care and customer service. The Director of Pharmacy is responsible for supervising the pharmacy team’s performance and outcomes, making adjustments to plans and priorities as necessary to address resource and operational challenges effectively. This role has full oversight of home infusion services, ensuring that business and clinical goals are consistently exceeded. The Director will focus on delivering a superior patient experience and driving business growth and development. Decisions will be guided by established policies, procedures, and organizational priorities, with guidance from Visante leadership on high-impact decisions to ensure strategic and operational alignment.
Additionally, this role will partner closely with Infusion Strategy, Revenue Cycle, Medication Access, Specialty Pharmacy, 340B, and other Visante leadership teams, as well as client committees, leadership, and clinicians, to enhance service delivery and operational effectiveness. This involves implementing quality assurance and improvement programs, managing human resources, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and applicable regulatory and accreditation standards, evaluating operating and capital resource needs, and effectively managing financial productivity and budgeting to ensure effective resource utilization and fiscal responsibility.
The Director will serve as an operational resource and participate in client and Visante strategic discussions on program expansion, payer network inclusion, limited distribution drug access, and contracting strategies. This role is directly accountable for overseeing operations across multiple locations, including pharmacy dispensing and nursing, ensuring efficient and effective management.
WORK LOCATION AND TRAVEL: This is an on-site position in the Atlanta, Georgia, area with flexibility for remote work, as scheduled, and minimal travel.
COMPENSATION RANGE: $165,000 - $205,000 a year
WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with on-call hours and weekends, as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Lead and manage projects under the guidance of Visante Leadership, including the development, implementation, and execution of strategies for home infusion and pharmacy infusion suite services.
- Scope, plan, and oversee client engagements, ensuring that quality, cost, and delivery requirements are met while collaborating with Visante teams and partners to meet engagement deliverables and execute client strategies.
- Manage and oversee client home infusion program, including education, training, policy and procedure development, strategic planning, business growth, compliance, and accreditation standards.
- Establish and maintain effective operations at client infusion locations, focusing on improving efficiency, quality, and service. Oversee the management of durable medical equipment and infusion nursing programs.
- Oversee operations, including P&L budget, regulatory compliance, marketing initiatives, third-party partnerships, and other service-related activities.
- Analyze operational performance, recommend, and implement changes to enhance effectiveness while ensuring compliance with State Board of Pharmacy, CMS, and FDA regulations.Oversee the purchase of drugs and supplies and ensure appropriate records and documentation are maintained according to established standards and procedures.
- Interface with healthcare professionals, hospital staff, and hospital leadership to strengthen partnerships and drive business growth through referrals.
- Ensure the pharmacy has an appropriately trained workforce to operate efficiently and safely, providing supervision and support for the professional development of Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Medication Access Technicians, and Sales and Nursing staff.
- Demonstrate expertise in pharmacy practice and the organization's mission, including awareness of innovations in technology and practice within the profession.
- Provide administrative leadership and participation in rotating call schedules and emergency response duties, including weekends, as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college or university.
- Current Pharmacist License in Georgia.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing a Profit and Loss (P&L) budget, including budget development.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Proven ability to diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex issues and implement strategies to resolve problems.
- Demonstrated experience providing high-quality customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting service quality standards and evaluating customer satisfaction.
- Proficiency in Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
- Doctorate of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree.
- Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience leading sales and/or operations in Home Health Care, Infusion, or Specialty Pharmacy.
- Skilled in conflict resolution and team building
- Proven capability in strategic planning and execution
- Ability to oversee and improve clinical and operational processes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex information.
