In this leadership role, you will manage effective performance, communication, resource allocation, and overall team leadership, directly reporting to the Market Chief Executive Officer.

As a vital member of the healthcare team, you will oversee drug therapy protocols in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. As Pharmacy Services Director you will review, interpret, and evaluate medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve any potential drug-related issues. Your role includes providing essential drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, patients, and pharmacy students, ensuring everyone involved is well-informed and equipped to make the best decisions for patient care.

You will be responsible for documenting interventions and their outcomes to enhance drug therapy quality improvement efforts. Your keen attention to detail will be crucial as you evaluate medication orders for accuracy and completeness prior to entry, as well as verify the accuracy of filled prescriptions by pharmacy technicians. Managing and maintaining knowledge of pharmacy automated systems and software will be essential to ensuring efficient operations.

In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will hire, supervise, train, and evaluate departmental personnel, while also performing administrative tasks to ensure optimal departmental functioning. You will interpret physician-written drug orders, accurately assigning administering schedules and managing the patient’s drug therapy profile.
