Job Details
Requirements:
- Minimum of Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Kansas preferred.
- Minimum of 20 years in the Power Delivery area.
- Broad technical working knowledge in various areas of Power Delivery including Generation,
Transmission, Substation, Protection & Control and Distribution Engineering.
- Candidate shall have demonstrated successful management of engineering teams of engineers
working in a collaborative environment.
- Experience with various aspects of developing engineering teams including identification and
recruiting of talented engineers, leadership growth, mentorship, and working to meet company
objectives.
- Familiarity with applicable industry codes and standards for the areas being covered including
ANSI, IEEE, IEC, NESC, RUS, NEC, etc.
- Able to manage multiple projects within deadlines and established budgets.
- Candidate must have strong oral and written communication skills and work effectively with
various engineering disciplines & groups within the company, between offices.
- Ability to grow and develop customer/client relationships through excellence in work,
demonstrating successful execution of projects.
- Candidate must be familiar with project management and scheduling tasks. Familiarity with
project management software tools such as Newforma and MS Project a plus.
- Ability to use office administrative and collaboration software (MS Office, Teams, etc.) required.
- Able to work in a collaborative, multi-office, multi-discipline environment.
- Occasional travel for site visits and client meetings will be required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy is a must.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction for the Power Delivery team.
- Identify and develop areas of Power Delivery with highest potential for the company, coordinating
direction with company leadership.
- Identify and develop strong team leaders, project managers and engineers in the various Power
Delivery areas of expertise.
- Develop and foster client relationships built on work excellence, success and integrity.
- Lead by example, providing a roadmap for growth and development to engineers and future
leaders.
- Support the teams in performing various engineering-related skills and activities related to the
creation of design packages, integrating client supplied standards and requirements.
- Routinely develop proposals, scopes, estimates, schedules, and conceptual/feasibility studies to
support awarding and execution of projects.
- Collaboratively work with various discipline engineering teams, working to develop project design
packages.
- Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) in area of expertise, sealing design drawings as required.
- Continual interaction with internal team members as well as external facing vendors and/or
Clients.
