Summary: The Director of Print Operations is charged with the profitability, on-time delivery and quality of L2 Brands’ domestic printed products. This includes training, supervising and coordinating staff and activities for high output and cost efficiency. This position is also uniquely responsible for implementation of Lean techniques and culture, L2 brand standards, and management of production staff and processes to ensure that strategic goals are being met in the spirit of the Company’s Core Values.

- Responsible for recruiting, developing, succession planning, cross-training and adapting the department's staff to ensure human capital is properly in place;
- Promote effective communication across all levels of the organization, as well as assessing the level of impact the department is having on customers and the entire organization;
- Identify risks, trends, best practices, industry standards and external factors that impact the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Production Management
- Lead and develop overall production resources, Lean processes, personnel, and production floor culture to maximize capacities/efficiency, on-time delivery and profitability goals.
- Develop, manage and set the cultural tone for managers, supervisors and team leaders, who maintain day-to-day responsibility for order fulfilment workflow, output, and quality of their departments.
- Plan and organize production goals, resources, and staffing on a daily, weekly and monthly basis with direct reports and COO.
- Establish standards of productivity for employees and throughput rates and monitor/evaluate their performance in conjunction with Print Manager and Supervisors.
- In conjunction with SVP – Continuous Improvement, analyze and implement solutions to reduce defects and scrap.
- Assist COO & SVP – Continuous Improvement with longer term capacity planning, strategy and execution, measure through development of appropriate metrics needed to track results and identify improvement areas and corrective action needed; report same to Senior Management Team.
Production Development
- Assist the Product Development team in researching and developing new product & decoration concepts, time studies, and costs.
- As member of Decoration Committee, research new equipment and decoration processes that drive competitive advantage and sustainable profitability of L2’s product offering.
Required Education/Experience/Skills:
- High School Diploma, at a minimum, Postsecondary education a plus.
- Experience as a Manager/Supervisor for at least 7+ years.
- Working knowledge of all tasks, duties & responsibilities related to screen print, DTG (direct to garment printing), sublimation & digital heat transfer printing.
- Understand all processes, equipment and procedures in the area.
- Knowledge of all health/safety, quality and productivity standards in the area.
- Leadership, analytical skills & problem solving.
- Knowledge of company policies, rules and regulations.
- Understand principles of Lean Manufacturing.
Travel:
This position requires minimal travel to printing or decorating shows or exhibits & possibly to El Salvador to visit League Central America manufacturing facility.
