Who are you?
You are an experienced and strategic Director of Product Management to lead our product vision and strategy. The ideal candidate will have a deep background in SaaS product management, with a strong preference for experience in vertical SaaS. It will also be advantageous if you have a familiarity with the home services market, a proven track record successfully leveraging embedded data and analytics, and some knowledge of financial services.

What you'll do
- Lead product strategy and vision: Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Skimmer, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and market needs.
- Provide market and customer insights: Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and inform product decisions. Develop a deep understanding of the home services sector to tailor solutions that meet market demands.
- Lead our product development: Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch, ensuring timely and successful delivery of high-quality features and enhancements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to ensure cohesive execution of product initiatives and to drive cross-functional alignment.
- Dig into data and analytics: Lead initiatives related to data collection, analysis, and reporting. Utilize data insights to inform product decisions and enhance the value proposition of Skimmer
- Become a payments integration authority: Oversee the implementation and optimization of online payment systems within the platform, ensuring seamless and secure transactions for users.
- Be a leader: Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing product management team. Foster a collaborative and innovative culture within the team.
- Focus on the customer: Engage with customers and stakeholders to gather feedback, understand their pain points, and ensure that the product meets their needs effectively.
Requirements
- Relevant chops: Minimum 10 years of experience in product management within a vertical SaaS environment (experience in mobile and/or payment solutions is preferred).
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the home services market and a proven ability to translate market needs into a strategic product roadmap.
- Data and Analytics: Demonstrated experience developing and delivering data or analytics products, with a strong understanding of modern strategies and platforms including embedded AI and visualizations.
- FinTech Systems: Knowledge and experience in implementing and managing SaaS payment and lending platforms as a key company growth lever.
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading, developing, and mentoring high-performing product management teams. High emotional intelligence (EQ).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills (whether talking to engineers or customers, you know how to get your point across effectively). Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
