Job Summary
Leads, directs and oversees project teams to manage and execute an assigned portion of Projects & Construction’s $10 billion portfolio of projects over the 10-year planning horizon. These projects may include: various transmission voltage back-bone projects, transmission expansion projects, reliability enhancement program, large reinforcement and relocation projects, transmission life-cycle projects, distribution load growth, replacement of distribution aging infrastructure, solar and any other large utility strategic projects or programs. Direct and approve development of scope lockdown, schedule and estimate and lead and direct the overall execution of assigned projects in accordance with scope, schedule and budget requirements.
Job Responsibilities
• Lead and direct the development of project / program scopes, estimates, schedules and execution strategies and their alignment with the financial and operating objectives of the Corporation.
• Provides tactical leadership, governance, direction and management for all projects within a specific Program of projects to ensure on time, on scope and on budget execution.
• Lead and direct the execution of project / program within approved budgets and schedules. Ensure development and accurate reporting of project status and cash flows to executive management.
• Ensure projects acquire all necessary licenses, permits and approvals in a timely fashion and are executed in compliance with all licenses, permits, conditions, laws and regulations in a safe, environmentally sensitive and effective manner.
• Lead the development and execution of strategies to secure professional, labor and contract resources necessary to develop, engineer, construct, manage and support assigned projects and programs.
• Responsible for proper cost allocation, prudency and overall project authorization across the entire program
• Recruit, develop, motivate and retain high performance associates. Manage the employee and contractor performance and metrics for all projects and programs in portfolio area of responsibility.
• Lead and manage the development and implementation of public affairs and communications strategies. Interface with customers, property owners, other transmission owners, organized labor leadership, third party developers on key issues related to the execution.
• Interface with leadership of regulatory agencies (FERC, PJM, BPU, DEP, DOI and DOE) and local, state and federal governmental officials in order to gain approvals and/or resolve issues that could impact successful project/program execution.

Job Specific Qualifications
Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Project Management, Finance, or Engineering or at least 10 years of related experience in lieu of a degree
• Minimum 10 years of project/program management experience, managing in the energy delivery business
• Possess a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or obtain one within one year of start date
• Minimum 8 years of previous leadership / supervisory experience
• Minimum 7 years of Transmission & Delivery Field experience at the leadership level
• Extensive knowledge of transmission and distribution business, equipment and systems and understanding of energy industry key issues, including opportunities, threats and trends
• Ability to interface with all levels of management and senior level external constituents
• Because the job requires driving to company locations and off-site assignments and events, must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license with a safe and satisfactory driver history
Desired:
• MBA or Graduate Degree in Project Management, Finance, Engineering
• Experience supporting Transmission and engineering initiatives
• Experience in managing complex organizations with multiple and conflicting priorities
