Your role as a Director of Quality Assurance
As the Full-Time Director of Quality Assurance at PTI Technologies, you will be at the forefront of ensuring excellence in our aerospace operations. This role encompasses the entire range of quality assurance activities within our organization, allowing you to formulate and develop program designs, policies, and procedures that align with customer requirements and industry specifications. You will lead the Quality Assurance Team, tackling product quality issues effectively and promptly while managing the department budget efficiently. Your expertise will guide the development of a robust Business Management System, ensuring compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and NADCAP standards.
Furthermore, you will oversee internal audits, corrective actions, and management reviews to maintain continuous improvement in our quality control systems. With direct supervisory responsibilities, your leadership will shape a high-performing team dedicated to upholding the integrity and quality standards essential to the aerospace industry.

To excel as the Director of Quality Assurance at PTI Technologies, candidates must possess a robust skill set tailored for the aerospace manufacturing environment. Previous quality assurance management experience is essential, ideally within aerospace or a related field. Strong written and verbal communication skills are critical, enabling effective collaboration with top management, customers, and the Quality Assurance Team.
The ability to make independent decisions that significantly influence company image and product reliability is vital. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is required, along with experience using ERP Quality Management Systems, preferably Oracle-based. A deep understanding of the Cost of Quality will enable you to manage toward improvement effectively.
Additionally, expertise in Supplier Quality Management, including developing corrective action systems and conducting assessments and audits, is crucial. A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field, combined with five years of relevant experience, is necessary for success in this role.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other related technical fields required; with a minimum of five(5) years of Quality Assurance experience in the manufacture of mechanical valves and filters or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to make independent judgments and decisions in matters having an important influence on company image and product reliability.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite software including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with ERP Quality management system, Oracle based preferred.
- Strong understanding of Cost of Quality and ability to manage toward improvement.
- Experience with Supplier Quality Management including corrective action system, supplier scoring, corrective action plans and management thereof, supplier assessments and audits for general capability and production readiness.
