We are currently recruiting for a Director of Rehab (DOR) to join our team!
Duties and Responsibilities: Director of Rehab (DOR)
- Provides overall coordination of all activities and services provided by the therapy department.
- Communicates with the interdisciplinary team on the admission of patients/residents requiring skilled rehabilitative services and timeliness of screening process
- Develops, maintains, and supervises other therapy team members’ compliance with effective system of therapy/treatment documentation which conforms to clinical and billing policies and procedures and meets requirements for third party payer documentation and reimbursement. Reviews and approves billing.
- Oversees the implementation of patient/resident care programs ensuring the effective utilization of therapy procedures and appropriate intensity of services.
- Determines and schedules staff relative to patient/resident needs to achieve therapy clinical and operational benchmarks. Keeps Administrator and Regional Rehab Manager informed of open positions and recruitment needs
- Provide appropriate treatment to help residents maintain or attain the highest level of function possible within the confines of his/her physical abilities
- Ensures that fiscal, clinical and operational goals are achieved
- Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises and activities
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercises
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
Qualifications and Skills: Director of Rehab (DOR)
We are seeking team members who have the following qualifications and skills:
- Current either PT, PTA, OT, OTA certification in the state of Wisconsin
- Professional enthusiastic attitude
- Strong communication skills
- Self-motivated
- Shows initiative in daily work
