Job Summary and Qualifications
We are seeking a Director of Rehab Services for Methodist Hospital – Metropolitan who is responsible for all aspects of department services and will ensure that care is provided in accordance with the standards of the organization and with conditions of participation, requirements, or regulations of JCAHO, Medicare, Medicaid, and appropriate licensing, or certification Boards. Develops and implements the annual Operating and Capital budgets. Responsible for therapy practices, quality, personnel management and financial management. Responsible for communicating expectations of the organization to employees, participating in decision making for the organization as a whole; promoting standardization and consolidation of services between facilities to ensure economical, high quality care. What You Will Do In Your Role:
- Directs all daily department functions, assuring appropriate staffing levels in all areas the department serves.
- Prepares and implements Rehab Services annual Operating and Capital expense budgets. Will monitor the Department's budget carefully, preparing monthly reports that monitor major cost and revenue centers and document significant variances.
- Evaluates and communicates recommendations to Vice President of Operations regarding appropriate space, facilities, equipment, supplies, and staffing levels required to provide optimal patient care.
- Directs the development and maintenance of policy and procedures for the Department. Maintains the Chargemaster in compliance with CPT coding in cooperation with the Finance Department.
- Assures that Rehab Services personnel and students are appropriately oriented, trained and supervised to enhance the efficiency of operations and to ensure quality patient care is provided. Provides Inservice training to enhance proficiency of staff in providing skilled therapeutic treatment.
- Observes the conditions of participation, requirements or regulation of the following: JCAHO, Medicare, Medicaid, Texas State Licensures, and Certification as required.
What qualifications you will need:
- Minimum Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech/Language Pathology.
- 5 years of experience practicing as a therapist.
- Five years management experience.
- Experience managing multiple areas is desirable.
- Minimum License and Certificates Required: Must be licensed to practice in State of Texas
