What we look for...

We are in search for a Director of Rooms to join our dynamic Front Desk and Housekeeping team. As a Director of Rooms, you will assist the General Manager in maintaining product quality, service quality and profitability of the property. The Director of Rooms will assure the overall success of the hotel by meeting or exceeding the planned objectives for revenue, profit, guest satisfaction and product quality.

Key Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)

1. Oversees the operation of the Front Desk and Housekeeping departments by setting the objectives, measuring performance, and supervising the department heads.
2. Increases efficiency of operations by analyzing procedures and practices and implementing alternative strategies as required.
3. Implements the approved budget; monitors revenues and costs daily and takes corrective action when necessary.
4. Controls costs by adhering to standards of operations for forecasting, budgeting, scheduling, payroll control, and other expenses.
5. Monitors service and teamwork on a regular basis and counsels' employees on providing service and teamwork.
6. Meets and exceeds the expectations of the employees by utilizing leadership skills and motivation techniques to maximize employee productivity and satisfaction of direct reports.
7. Maintains safe and secure environment for customers and employees.
8. Ensures that all employees follow safety rules and emergency procedures.
9. Take pride in representing Hi Lo , Marriott Autograph Collection and Radiate Hospitality professionally and always projects a favorable image in the community and with our guests.

Qualifications & Experience:

A combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school required and some college preferred, or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, also is acceptable.

• A bachelor's degree in business or hospitality
• A combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from college, or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, also is acceptable.
• 3 years' experience in Front Desk/Rooms Manager/Executive Housekeeper
• 5 years managerial experience
• 5 years hotel/hospitality experience
