Director of Sales (CNC Machining)
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The basic function of the Director of Global Sales and Marketing is to ensure that the company meets or exceeds the booking and quoted Profit Margin quotas quarterly and annually in the budgeted market segments that have been established by the President. Director of Global Sales and Marketing is responsible for motivating, directing, and evaluating the sales representatives and sales support personnel.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The Director of Global Sales and Marketing reports directly to the President.
Reporting to the Director of Global Sales and Marketing are Customer Service Representatives, Technical Sales Representatives and outside sales representatives (including manufacturers representatives) and the Cost Estimator.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in a business or engineering discipline or equivalent years of experience. An MBA is also preferred.
2. Requires ten to fifteen (10-15) years in a Business to Business selling field with at least eight (8) years in a management capacity. Experience in the Medical parts Industry is considered a plus, but not required.
3. Personal skills must include a successful track record that reflects consistent improvement and completion and obtainment of assigned goals. This position requires knowledge of company policies and procedures, organization, and general business practices. This person must be able to coordinate multiple tasks and prioritize well.
4. The position must have a reliable vehicle, and be capable of extensive travel. Commercial airline travel will be required. Travel will occasionally be in snowy or icy conditions.
5. Must be able to interpret Sale Forecasts & results, as well as monitor Profit Margin results.
6. Must be an outgoing individual who is comfortable meeting new people and being in unfamiliar situations. The person must be able to invoke enthusiasm and trustworthiness through voice.
7. Must have the skills and knowledge to keep all lines of communication open within the office, the commercial business sector, and the community at large.
8. Requires basic knowledge of the machined parts market.
