Director of Sales, Key Accounts
The Director of Sales, Key Accounts is a critical position in overseeing and managing the company’s sales strategies and relationships with key national accounts and stakeholders. This person plays a crucial role in driving revenue growth by managing and expanding relationships.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for key accounts aligned with the company's goals and revenue targets.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, retention, and loyalty.
- Identify opportunities for growth within key accounts and develop strategies to expand the business relationship.
- Lead efforts in identifying and acquiring new key accounts, leveraging market trends, industry knowledge, and networking to drive sales growth.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and agreements with key account partners, ensuring they align with company objectives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product development, and other departments to align strategies and support the needs of key accounts.
- Develop and maintain sales forecasts, analyze performance data, and generate reports to evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies for key accounts.
- Utilize data insights to optimize sales processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards in all sales activities related to key accounts.
- Managing the department store and grocery channels.
- Understand the needs of key accounts and ensure they are met.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive activities, and market changes affecting key accounts, adjusting strategies accordingly.
- Recruit, train, and mentor a team of sales professionals to drive performance and achieve sales targets.
- Provide guidance, support, and motivation to the sales team to foster a culture of high performance and accountability.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field
- Proven track record in sales leadership roles, preferably with experience managing key accounts in the retail industry.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to drive strategic decision-making.
