What You’ll Accomplish:
As the Director of Shopper and Channel Marketing you will be responsible for the planning, development, and execution of retailer-specific brand and product activation programs and initiatives. This individual will report to the Vice President, Integrated Marketing and will be based out of our Burlington, MA office location. They will have a unique opportunity to spearhead innovative marketing strategies that drive sales, enhance brand visibility, and engage consumers effectively:
- Lead as our Shopper Marketing subject matter expert internally, driving strategy across our National, Independent, Club, and Grocery Accounts
- Ensure retailer strategies support overall marketing and sales goals with an understanding of driving mutual success for our retail partners, enhancing shopper engagement and driving sales
- Work in direct partnership with sales teams to understand customer-specific strategies, needs, and develop actionable plans while also ensuring that customer-specific programming is aligned with corporate marketing initiatives to drive a synergistic impact
- Design and execute end-to-end shopper marketing campaigns that seamlessly integrate online and offline touchpoints. Collaborate with marketing, sales, and brand teams to ensure consistent messaging and a unified brand experience across customers
- Lead the strategic planning and development of POS materials (displays, signage and other physical elements) aligned with the Wellness Pet brand and tentpole moment or campaign objectives
- Build strong relationships with key retailers, collaborating on joint business plans, promotions, and shopper engagement strategies
- Leverage shopper analytics, market research, and competitive intelligence to gain deep insights into shopper behaviors and trends, to identify opportunities for enhancing the overall shopper experience
- Continuously monitor campaign performance, measure ROI, and optimize strategies based on data-driven learnings
- Maintain proficiency in social / digital metrics to provide direction on key tactics and optimization of campaigns in market, e.g. ROAS, CTR, CPC, LTV:CAC, etc.
- Enable clear and consistent communication between all internal and external parties in the planning, implementation, and post analysis phase of programming
- Provide leadership, guidance, and expertise to build an impactful shopper marketing team

For this role specifically, we are also looking for a candidate who possesses:
- A bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, or a related discipline
- A minimum of 8 years of experience within a retailer or shopper marketing role building and executing plans successfully for large omni-channel customers
- 3+ years being a people manager with the ability to delegate, teach, and drive efficiency
- Demonstrated capacity to hire, lead, motivate, and achieve results through others
- Experience leading national retail programming and other initiatives relating to shopper behavior
- Proven ability to think creatively, coupled with strong analytical and leadership skills
- Ability to take initiative and work autonomously – you can run with something from beginning to end
- Works well with ambiguity and asks the right questions to get at the solution
- Analytical skills with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and program measurement and analysis
- Experience with ad serving platforms and 3rd party agencies to manage execution
- Excellent time management and self-directed work style, including the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Proven expertise building persuasive presentations
- Experience leveraging data to drive decision-making: Nielsen, customer shopper data, media marketing spend analyses, etc.
- Ability to travel to customer meetings approximately 20%
