Position Summary: Foremost at Sharon is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Director of Social Services to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the social services department, ensuring that the social and emotional needs of our residents are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement social service policies and procedures.
• Assess the social and emotional needs of residents and create individualized care plans.
• Provide counseling and support to residents and their families.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers and other staff to ensure comprehensive care.
• Advocate for residents' rights and needs.
• Manage and supervise social services staff.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records.
• Stay updated on best practices and regulations in social services and healthcare.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or equivalent certification.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in social services, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:     

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or LSW
• Experience working with elderly or disabled populations.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to social services and healthcare.
