About the Job
A global financial services company is looking to hire a Director of Software Engineering for their web development team. This team is at the forefront of building their main website, used by millions globally.
As the Director of Software Engineering, you will drive technological advancements through cross-collaboration with stakeholders, development and product teams, and develop technical roadmaps. You will oversee 2-3 development teams building customer-facing applications, all within a React and Java environment.
The ideal candidate has experience in B2C and/or experience overseeing the development of customer-facing applications. While this is a hands-off leadership position, having a extensive experience in software engineering will help you stand out.
This position is hybrid (3x day/week) in Phoenix, AZ. Interested candidates must live in the Greater Phoenix Area or have a desire to relocate once accepting. There is no relocation assistance at this time.

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in managing engineering teams
- Deep understanding of Software methodologies, processes, and best practices
- Experience in React, JavaScript, and Java
- Enterprise-scale experience
- B2C or customer-facing web application development experience
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, or related field
- Fintech experience
- Public cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure)
