Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and strategic Director of Speech Recruiting to lead our recruitment efforts for the Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) program. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist who is passionate about talent acquisition and workforce development. They will oversee the recruitment and retention of highly qualified Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs), foster a culture of support and growth for the team, and ensure our program is staffed with the best professionals in the field. This role is perfect for an SLP looking to leverage their clinical knowledge to shape and grow a talented team in a mission-driven organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Hiring: Lead the recruitment efforts for Speech-Language Pathologists and Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants, identifying talented professionals to join our team. Develop and implement innovative strategies to attract and hire the best candidates.
- Talent Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for future hiring needs, partnering with universities, professional organizations, and community networks to attract top talent.
- Team Engagement & Retention: Develop initiatives to support the retention of SLPs and SLPAs, creating an environment that values employee satisfaction, professional growth, and work-life balance.
- Program Oversight: Work closely with AIM teams to understand staffing needs and ensure appropriate service levels are met for our clients.
- Collaboration: Work closely with school districts, administrators, and AIM teams to assess needs, address challenges, and build effective partnerships.
- Onboarding & Training: Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring that they receive proper training and are well-integrated into the AIM team. Support continuous professional development for SLPs and SLPAs.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) or related field.
- ASHA CCC-SLP certification required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in speech services, with at least 2 years in a leadership or recruiting role.
- Experience in recruiting and managing a team of SLPs and SLPAs is preferred.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with school partners and internal teams.
- Passion for building and leading a talented, dedicated team.
