Director of Staff Development DSD in Pasadena or Glendale 45-50 99 beds - The Hire Mark

The Hire Mark is seeking an experienced Director of Staff Development for a 50 bed Nursing Home in Glendale or Pasadena ( 2 different jobs)

These are full-time roles with benefits.

Compensation:

Competitive pay based on experience $45 to $50 an hour.

Health,Dental, Vision Insurance, Paid time off and holidays.

Requirements:

DSD License

LVN or RN License

Job Description

 • Develop and monitor the goals and objectives of the in-service trainings for the facility

• Interviewing, hiring and orienting new employees • Creating and maintaining records and reports pertinent to in-service requirements

• Partnering with Administrator and DON to meet daily staffing and PPD goals

• Reviewing and creating daily staffing schedule

• Attending meetings and serving on committees as required

• Ensuring that all staff attend and participate in in annual OSHA and CDC in-service training programs for hazard communication, TB management, and blood borne pathogens standard

• Responsible for providing direct patient care when not performing DSD duties

• Representing the department at and participate in top level meetings

• Implementing recommendations from the Quality Assessment and Assurance Committee as they relate to the educational needs of the facility

• Maintaining a positive and calm disposition when communicating with staff, residents, family, visitors, government entities, etc.

• Following Infection and Control policies and procedures • Reporting any occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, or other hazardous materials to a supervisor immediately

• Protecting each residents file and data with confidentially per HIPAA standards • Abiding with all facility policies and procedures including not disclosing user ID codes and passwords
