Riverstreet Manor is currently looking for a full time Director of Staff Development Registered Nurse (RN) to assist with leading our nursing team! Are you a compassionate and enthusiastic Registered Nurse (RN) with leadership experience in long-term care? Then this might be the perfect opportunity for YOU!
Requirements of the Staff Development Registered Nurse (RN):
- Must possess, as a minimum, an Associates Degree, or BS preferred and completed nursing school
- Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in this state.
- Must have, as a minimum, two (2) years experience in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related healthcare facility.
- Must have experience in supervising, managerial and principles, practice of teaching, etc.
- Must successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical / drug screen.
Responsibilities of the Staff Development Registered Nurse (RN):
- Report all reportable diseases to the county and state health departments
- Assist with in-services on wound prevention, wound care, ostomy care, and incontinence for the nursing staff.
- Participate in planning, conducting, and scheduling in-service training classes for CNAs/GNAs and any other nursing personnel that provide instructions on “how to do the job,” and ensure a well-educated nursing service department.
- Assist in standardizing the methods in which work will be accomplished.
- Assist in training department personnel in identifying tasks that involve potential exposure to blood or body fluids.
