Position Summary:
The Director of Technology will be the lead member in the venue technology team and will provide IT leadership to our business users, tenants, clients, teams and events. Such responsibilities include overseeing the support and maintenance of the technology infrastructure while planning and designing for future needs. The Director of Technology is also required to work with the Global Technology team, business leaders and 3rd parties to assure day-to-day deliverables are being addressed while also assuring strategic objectives for the business are met.
Essential Functions:
- Understand the long-term business objectives and present technical strategies to meet those objectives, introducing innovation to business processes through technology.
- Work with the businesses, CIO and VP of Network Infrastructure and Venue Technology to plan and budget for future technology projects, infrastructure and services.
- Develop and manage standard operating procedures for the venue to help manage and support its technology systems.
- Ensure that existing venue technology systems, telephony, and business applications are managed and supported.
- Responsible for Technology Departments budget.
- Project manage technology projects through the entire project life cycle. In conjunction with DHSP leadership team to create prioritization of work and scheduling of resources.
- Liaise with customers and internal staff to deliver and account for technology requirements for events when requested by the venue leadership team.
- Responsible for managing procurement from technology suppliers and for the contractual and financial monitoring of our relationships with technology suppliers.
- Develop training initiatives to keep staff current on office productivity tools and cyber security matters.
- Manage all 3rd party technology partners to deliver IT services to DHSP or LA Galaxy.
- Maintain system documentation and configuration data for operating, regulatory, and enforcement of all information security protocols.
- Hire, train, oversee and mentor the venue Technology team.
- Ensure the appropriate training and personal development are provided to technology staff.
Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS Degree (4-year) Information Technology or Related Area
- 8-10 years of related work experience in Information Technology business management and delivering Technology solutions for high profile entertainment events
- 8-10 years of experience of managing and delivering complex technology projects on time and on budget.
- 8-10 year of experience of managing budgets and supplier relationships.
- Knowledgeable and have experience of the core Microsoft technologies such as Windows, Active Directory, Office 365, etc.
- Must be able to maintain current knowledge of new technology hardware and software solutions and recommend upgrades where appropriate to maintain efficient operation.
- Must be able to use initiative, work with minimum supervision, organize time effectively, and deliver to agreed timescales.
- Be a team player who enjoys working in a high achieving environment.

- Ability to form good, effective working relationships with all levels of staff.
- Ability to line manage staff, to motivate a team, to prioritize and plan their workload, and to perform line management duties such as performance management.

Pay Scale: $144,050 - $160,000
