OBJECTIVE
Supervise and coordinate the safe and proper transportation of agency members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
- Assist and coordinate all aspects of Transportation Department.
- Facilitate transportation for new clients in coordination with DTA Director.
- Modify transportation routes as needed due to client changes, to ensure overall efficiency of routes, as well as other factors.
- Monitor van mileage logs to ensure consistency of miles between vans.
- Coordinate with Facilities Director to ensure timely handling of all repair issues.
- Coordinate with Facilities Director to ensure proper maintenance schedule.
- Responsible for updating and maintaining client van logs.
- Responsible for coordinating replacement drivers when need arises.
- Responsible for ensuring that vans follow assigned schedules.
- Work with Gompers trainer to provide driver training and education about vans to drivers.
- Recommends measures to improve safety and conservation equipment.
- May be required to perform duties of a driver.
- Must be involved in the hiring process and sign off on all new hires.
- Must sign off on all Incident Reports that occur during transportation.
- Must be involved in all personnel and disciplinary actions. Direct involvement in disciplinary actions beyond initial warning or coaching.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises Drivers.
AUTHORITY
This person shall have the authority to complete the above responsibilities subject to the verbal and/or written approval of the VP of Operations.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
A minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate required. Basic knowledge of computer use, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Must have the ability to use our Gridline route software.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Bilingual and/or sign language a plus, but not required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic calculations.
REASONING ABILITY
Basic ability to apply training to daily situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- CPR, First Aid, Article 9 and Client Intervention Training. If you do not hold these certifications, Gompers will provide training.
- A valid Arizona Drive License and a clear 39-month Arizona Motor Vehicle Report required.
- Fingerprint Clearance Card.
