About the Role:The Director Pharmacy will be the organization’s pharmacy subject matter expert identify and develop strategic partnerships and implement all internal and external pharmacy initiatives. Additionally this role will collaborate with the larger Population Health leadership team to assist with high-impact initiatives. This role will have responsibility for the management of the day-to-day operations and driving productivity within our clinical manufacturing pharmacy environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position has supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accountability for all operations within the onsite Pharmacy facility including driving production metrics
- Actively participates in performance management for all onsite leaders and associates
- Management and maintenance of morale and culture with pharmacy
- Develops insights on how SelectRx can innovate leverages deep knowledge of the current pharmacy landscape and includes emerging trends headwinds and the innovative business models that are breaking through
- Actively participates in business development efforts as the in-house subject matter pharmacy expert and thought leader
- Acts as internal liaison to pharmacy partners and businesses
- Partners with business leaders before during and after onboarding strategic accounts to ensure they are integrated smoothly and fully optimized
- Maintains regular communication with all partners to review performance sets clear expectations and evaluate growth opportunities
- Supports SelectQuote’s strategic healthcare and pharmacy growth strategy through identification assessment and execution of strategic initiatives
Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to work onsite a minimum of 80% of the time
- Must possess the ability to work with automated prescription systems
- Maintains proficiency in pharmacy computer systems and medication ordering systems
- Possesses good organizational and time-management skills
- Demonstrates appropriate written and oral communication skills
- High degree of interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management associates clients and general public
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to implement changes rapidly that positively impact marketing performance
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask
- Highly motivated resourceful and self-directed
- Ability to be detailed oriented while seeing trends themes and macro-impacts
- Proficiency in reading writing and speaking English is required
Education and Experience:
- Doctor of Pharmacy preferred
- 10+ years’ experience in pharmacy industry or related fields
- 2+ years’ management experience
- Clinical Manufacturing experience highly preferred
- Maintains expert level knowledge and expertise around Pharmacy related regulations market updates and trends
- Maintenance of multiple state PIC licenses preferred
- Understands confidentiality regarding patient medications and illnesses (HIPAA)
Physical Requirements:
- Work is performed indoors with potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to office work. Could periodically travel to other office and operational sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
