The Director, Process Excellence-EPMO holds a critical role responsible for overseeing the organizations project discipline, governance, & ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and resource constraints. This role will drive rigor in project management practices, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and lead the EPMO to support Hanger's mission of enhancing mobility and improving lives. The Director, Process Excellence means being at the forefront of driving strategic initiatives that directly impact the lives of our patients and the success of our organization.
Your Impact
- Develop a discipline of continuous improvement across Enterprise Program Management Office to ensure industry best practice standards are embedded into our Way of Working
- Collaborate with initiative leaders to enable successful project execution, providing strategic insights to overcome challenges, ensuring appropriate application, and facilitating learnings as applicable ensuring ongoing engagement
- Design methodologies, tools, and templates to support key programs, with the assistance of change management agents
- Educate and train leaders on the benefits Organizational Transformation and applications of industry practices to keep leadership future-thinking
- Collaborate with the Change Management Director to establish implementation, change management, and communication plans within enterprise project management efforts that address the people side of change
- Build Best Practice Portal as enterprise-wide ‘one source of truth’ for tools/resources
- Establish project management governance frameworks, methodologies, and standards to ensure consistency, efficiency, and quality in project delivery across the enterprise
- Define project management processes, roles, and responsibilities to promote accountability and transparency throughout the project lifecycle
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, business unit heads, project sponsors, and external partners, ensuring effective communication & alignment throughout project lifecycle, facilitating collaboration & buy-in from stakeholders
- Work with Human Resources to develop a career pathway for Project Management discipline including trainings, webinars, further education opportunities
- Ensure that project management practices comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal policies, upholding ethical standards and promoting transparency and accountability in project execution
- Influence and partner on organizational transformation efforts to identify and implement best practices and effectiveness priorities
- Lead team of project managers focused on enterprise-wide projects and initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, or related field; MBA preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- PMP or other relevant certifications preferred
- Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver’s license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures.
