This is a key product management role focused on server/storage/networking product solutions
In addition to developing new top-of-the-line systems, you are expected to collaborate with engineering, marketing, and sales departments to promote products and interact with customers directly to sell these products
We are looking for candidates with strong technical and communication skills including research into vertical market solutions
You will be an owner of your product line and responsible for driving customer adoption of your products.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Aggressively evangelize and position AI & compute servers, storage server, and storage sub-systems with the goal of top-line growth in relevant vertical market segments and geographical regionsCollaborate with peer Engineering Directors and Product Managers at Supermicro to develop a strategic roadmap to make Supermicro system products a market leading offering for new workloads and innovative solutions.Develop and deliver a clear strategy and partner closely with marketing, engineering, and business development to provide complete server solutions to customersReview/generate/influence product collateral including product briefs, white papers, trade events, to create/extend awareness and understanding of the value of Supermicro's product offeringsLeverage strong technical background to create technical product requirements for cloud/data center infrastructure solutions based on customer requirements, industry trends and business requirementsWork closely with product development, marketing, service, and sales teams, to influence the product and service portfolios for competitive advantage and incremental value to our customersEngage with customers at various levels including senior executives, engineering, and product marketing to convey our capabilities and vision, and understand their challenges and requirementsManage critical issues and provide solutionsModerate world-wide travel is required.Qualifications:Bachelor or Master’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering with minimum of 15 years hands-on experience in system/server architecture is desirableStrong knowledge of computer server architecture
Networking is a plus.Demonstrated ability in product marketing and/or product management role, must have managed several products from initial concept through development, launch, and end-of-lifeExperience in launching complex and innovative hardware products that meet the needs of enterprise and global scale customersExceptional communication and presentation skills with storytelling abilities that drive customer engagement, adoption, and market growthAbility to build and demonstrate proof-of-concept that meets or exceeds customer business needsStrong leadership – indirectly manage multi-functional teams with high efficiency, able to resolve complex issues and deliver result under pressure and stringent deadlinesAbility to present the corporate brand, product messaging and solutions to customersSalary Range$220,000 - $250,000 The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role
