About the Role:
We're on the hunt for a bold and driven Director of Production Engineering to lead a team focused on modernizing high-performance computing and mining operations. This role offers a dynamic environment where strategic leadership and technical expertise will be valued. You'll oversee the ideation, design, development, testing, and implementation of products that differentiate our client from their competitors. Your Mission:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategies that align with organizational goals and drive the future of mining and HPC operations.
- Management: Use management frameworks to evaluate business opportunities and provide actionable strategies.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with senior executives, business leaders, and process owners to identify and address risks and gaps.
- Compliance Expertise: Leverage expertise in Enterprise Risk Management and compliance frameworks (SOX, SOC, NIS) to enhance operational resilience.
- Process Documentation: Maintain and review process flows, control matrices, and risk assessments to support compliance testing and auditing.
- Project Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage complex projects efficiently, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
- Foster professional and open communication across teams and organizational leaders to support a collaborative work environment.
Skills:
- Leadership & Vision Execution: Proven ability to lead a team, inspiring strategic execution with minimal guidance and making decisions within established guidelines.
- Compliance Management: Extensive experience with compliance frameworks, including SOX, SOC, and NIS.
- Project Management: Expertise in managing large-scale projects, including readiness planning, execution, and cross-functional team collaboration.
- Container Ecosystems: Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Service Mesh to streamline operations and deployments.
- CI/CD Tools: Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline tools such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, Helm, and Ansible for automation and continuous delivery.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with a track record of solving complex engineering challenges and providing solutions.
- Collaboration & Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills conducive to a global, collaborative environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of containerized environments, compliance management, and engineering solutions in high-performance computing (HPC) and mining operations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles, specializing in large-scale project management, compliance initiatives, and engineering solutions.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in compliance frameworks (SOX, SOC), container ecosystems (Docker, Kubernetes), CI pipeline tools (GitHub, GitHub Actions), and configuration management (Helm, Ansible).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting complex information to stakeholders and audit committees.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Location: Candidates must reside in TX, ND, SD, OK, MN, AR, KY, TN, GA, FL, SC, or NC.
- Travel: Occasional travel may be required.
- Environment: Professional office environment with standard office equipment usage.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, walk, and lift up to 20 pounds as needed.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Full-time, remote position with standard hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; some nights and weekends may be required.
