We are currently seeking a Director of Quality Assurance to ensure the highest standards of patient care, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across all Optima Medical locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Quality Assurance department and oversee the development and implementation of quality assurance (QA) programs to ensure that all healthcare services meet internal and external standards of excellence.
- Establish and maintain quality metrics, tracking performance indicators to identify areas of improvement in patient care, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and implement comprehensive QA policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to industry standards, state and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of clinical operations, patient care protocols, and safety practices to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with clinical teams, providers, and administrative staff to integrate quality improvement strategies into daily workflows, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.
- Analyze patient outcomes and satisfaction data, creating actionable reports for senior leadership and recommending process improvements to enhance care quality and efficiency.
- Lead investigations into quality-related incidents, patient complaints, and adverse events, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective actions.
- Develop training programs and educational materials to ensure that all staff members are knowledgeable about QA standards, protocols, and compliance requirements.
- Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies, ensuring timely submission of required reports and documentation.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging best practices in quality assurance and regulatory compliance, integrating these insights into the organization’s QA strategies.
- Lead and mentor the Quality Assurance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of3 years of experience in quality assurance, healthcare administration, or a related leadership role within the healthcare industry.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare quality standards, including CMS and other regulatory requirements.
- Proven track record of developing, implementing, and managing quality assurance programs in a healthcare setting.
- Strong experience in conducting audits, analyzing quality metrics, and leading corrective action initiatives.
- Expertise in patient safety, risk management, and healthcare regulatory compliance.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and lead organizational change.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, with EClinical Works experience being a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
