About the Job
The Director, Regional Sales is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of all Sales operations. Core duties include driving sales results, providing leadership for the sales organization through effective coaching, mentoring and technical expertise, and continually improving processes impacting both the client and employee experience. Maintains a solid understanding of AmTrust’s mission, vision, and values. Upholds the standards of the AmTrust organization.
Responsibilities:- Manage a staff of Regional Sales Managers
- Oversee all aspects within the sales territory including management of the agency network
- Motivate, influence and inspire sales front-line leadership (supervisors) to maintain a high level of sales, integrity, and professionalism in achieving individual and organizational goals
- Analyze individual, team, and enterprise data to ensure sales, productivity, service, and technical accuracy standards are met
- Develop skills, improve performance, and encourage professional growth of front-line leadership and their team members through effective training, coaching, and feedback
- Regularly review customer interactions to ensure best practice utilization
- Provide ongoing updates regarding sales performance, opportunities, and new programs
- Ensure that each RSM has a defined goals and development plan based on their goals and skill development needs
- Keeps current with market trends and demands.
- Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
- Due to the nature of this role, travel, including overnight travel, is required.
Required:
· 5+ years of experience managing and leading supervisors/leaders
· Experience with commercial lines insurance
· Bachelor's degree in business or related field
· Outstanding sales skills and a demonstrated ability to transfer your knowledge to peers or direct reports
· Extraordinary leadership, coaching, and development skills
· Judgment, problem solving, and decision making skills
· Planning, organization, multi-tasking ability
· Excellent business writing skills
· Ability to travel as required
