Director of Rehabilitation Services: This 1.0FTE/Full-time position is scheduled to work 8-HR day shifts Monday-Friday.
Compensation: Exempt, $62.01/HR-$88.58/HR
Sign-on Bonus: $10,000, conditions apply.

Job Summary:
Provides leadership and direction for the Rehabilitation Services department. Accountable for planning, directing, and monitoring operational, programmatic and patient outcomes. Provides oversight for all department activities related to patient scheduling, work flow, staff hiring, staff work scheduling, orientation/training, pre-authorization process, patient registration, department budgeting, and developing strategies for future growth.
Job Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership and direction to the rehabilitation staff to continuously improve clinical, financial and service outcomes. Oversees and manages daily operations of the department. Develops performance goals and objectives for the department consistent with those of the facility and the organization’s overall strategic plan. Monitors and analyzes results to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Facilitates and provides patient centered care. Maintains own clinical awareness and competencies; ensures clinical and age-specific competency of staff. Evaluates assigned patients and establishes a treatment plan and goals, using data from a variety of sources, such as patient records, interviews, observation, and team members. Completes patient treatment according to plan of care and modifies plan to meet patient needs, and updates plan as appropriate.
- Assesses and maintains a staffing plan that efficiently and effectively utilizes the appropriate resources ensuring competency, skill mix and adequate number of staff. Serves as a mentor to staff to improve clinical performance and problem-solving skills.
- Recommends and participates in development of new services and programs, quality improvement and monitoring activities.
- Collaborates with other healthcare professionals as necessary to ensure continuity of care. Acts as a liaison with nursing, medical and other departments to facilitate problem solving and coordination of other services and act as an educational resource. Seeks out opportunities to build relationships with physicians, hospital and facility peers, and other people resources who can contribute to the success of department's initiatives. Participates as an active member of various committees; leads work groups, projects and committees as assigned.
- Actively supports a positive workplace culture. Monitors the work performance of staff and provides timely feedback and performance management. Maintains effective employee and labor relations practices, including timely follow-up and resolution of concerns or issues. Ensures that policies and collective bargaining agreements are administered consistently and equitably.

Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in Physical, Occupational, or Speech Language Pathology. Master’s degree preferred.
- Four (4) years of clinical experience.
- Two (2) years of leadership experience.
Required Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations:
- Current Occupational, Physical, or Speech Language Pathology license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or within 180 days of hire.
