The Security Portfolio lead is responsible for ensuring that the technical security needs of the OptumInsight and Optum AI
business segments are consolidated, prioritized, and managed through to fruition providing updates and clarity
The role will act as a primary point of contact for OI and OAI and OAI technology leadership to ensure that strategic and tactical delivery of segment security issues are delivered upon by EIS shared services and that progress is clear and potential issues are resolved.The OI & OAI CISO Office Security Technology Service Delivery Director must ensure that technology issues requiring security workforce resolutions are properly framed and the right resources or processes are deployed to continually enhance the Risk Posture and overall Segment Security risk management Program for OptumInsight and Optum AI
The incumbent must be expert in EIS process and policy as well as Security Technology and the SDLC
They will and acts as a central point of contact for technical issues and escalations They are deemed a critical integration point with business and technical leadership teams and is considered a change agent for the business in understanding security risks as well as ensuring that EIS fully understands and is engaged to support the needs and objectives of our business and technical teams.You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely

as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:Consolidate the overall portfolio of services that EIS must manage on behalf of the OI and OAI business segmentsPartner with Segment CISO and BISO to prioritize and actively manage the risk portfolioEngage with EIS functional capabilities to ensure all segment deliverables are metProvide clarity and active oversight of the net work in flight consumable by segment leadershipWhere needed assume technical and functional leadership to enhance minimize and mitigate the technical and operations drivers of InfoSec risk within the OI and OAI business segmentsDrive the technical and business level assessment and review of areas of security riskPartner with segment technology and business leadership to guide segment-level risk management and operational executionAct as primary point of contact for Segment Security Liasons in the proactive development of the Segment Risk Posture Enhancement and ReviewsAbility to communicate effectively with external clients and vendors on security and risk postureProvide technical and policy guidance to Security Office teamSupport the Segment CIO/ CTO structures in the development of and tactical enablement of technology review processesPartner with segment stakeholders to support customer and regulatory audits of the Information Security ProgramPartner with segment stakeholders to represent technical and operational elements of our e Information Security capabilities of UHG to both current and prospective customersProvide leadership, guidance, team direction, problem resolution and accountability for the performance of managers and/or senior level professional staffProvide support role, as needed, for the BISO and Office of Information SecuritySignificant level of communications (oral and written) to senior management on risk management concepts, as well as specific project risks and risk mitigation options/scenariosMaintains a deep understanding of the business, their customers, and service-delivery models
This understanding includes strategic business initiatives and goals, key systems and key contacts within the business and ITMaintains current knowledge on information security topics and their applicability to UHG and assigned segmentYou’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:15+ years of information security and/or technology experience in a large, highly regulated enterprise10+ years of experience managing security delivery or programs10+ years of experience speaking with external/internal executive stakeholders relating to security program and procedures10+ years of experience analyzing risk records, technical, or policy exceptions2+ years of experience working with external auditors, regulatory bodies and customersDemonstrated clear understanding of the EIS delivery Structure and the OI and OAI business modelsAbility to lead or in a matrixed fashion provide guidance to a team of Security Risk Assessors Experience with interpretation and application of policy and standards Experience with multiple information security frameworks (ISO, NIST, HITRUST, etc.)Proven subject matter expert knowledge of the technology aspects of securityRisk management experience to include identification, prioritization and mitigation of riskProject management experience, detail oriented, and displays/instills operational excellenceDemonstrated executive presence and with excellent communicationProven internal/external client relationship management skills with senior management on issues and key risks to the business (presentations, executive summaries, etc.) Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information TechnologyTechnical security certification; CISSP/CISM 5+ years of experience in a technical security capacity2+ years of experience in AI or AI SecurityExpertise in one or more technical security domains*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy.California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Washington, Washington, D.C
Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $122,100 to $234,700 annually
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc
