This candidate will be responsible for training, mentoring, and motivating a team of Shopper Insights Managers and Senior Shopper Insights Managers. The Director is the primary link between the data provider and the Company's Analytics and Sales teams, responsible for communicating and training on all updates regarding processes, available offerings, report interpretation, and all retailer shopper-centric initiatives. You will also coordinate all Company's Solution client engagement with loyalty card offerings and programs, lending direction and advice on which of these most appropriately serve the client’s needs, as well as the resources required to manage the data. The Director is also responsible for working with the Company's Sales and Analytics management teams to negotiate and provide the appropriate level of the Company's resources to meet the client’s requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Leverages customer shopper loyalty program platform to extract and organize data for insight-driven analytics in support of new item initiatives and assortment opportunities across multiple shopper insight clients.
- Engages with customers, clients, and internal stakeholders to understand strategies and objectives.
- Facilitate the process, and provide the direction for, all client inquiries involving Shopper Data purchases.
- Participates in new client interviews as a shopper loyalty program subject matter expert (SME).
- Provide guidance to a team of direct reports with respect to the analytic process, data integration, and data interpretation.
- Proactively builds a personal skill set by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and developing and maintaining personal networks to keep their skills at least at par with client counterparts as well as the data provider’s client lead.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required; MBA Degree preferred; or equivalent job-related experience in Business, Marketing, Sales
- 8+ years of experience in managing shopper loyalty program data for multiple clients/categories across a wide range of available shopper loyalty program analytics
- Well-organized and strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to sell services to clients and customers
- Experience in managing/negotiating with syndicated data or shopper loyalty program data providers
- Syndicated Data experience: Mastery of IRI, Nielsen, and other relevant platforms preferred

Position Summary
The Director of Shopper Insights will serve as the expert on the assigned retailer’s loyalty card platform. This candidate will be responsible for training, mentoring, and motivating a team of Shopper Insights Managers and Senior Shopper Insights Managers. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Job Duty
Data Analytics
- Leverages customer shopper loyalty program platform to extract and organize data for insight driven analytics in support of new item initiatives and assortment opportunities across multiple shopper insight clients
- Integrates scan, POS, panel, and geodemographic data alongside shopper data to create a comprehensive solution
- Track and guide our RAVE process across direct reports, working to reinforce the importance of value creation measurement with clients/customers
Client/Customer Engagement
- Engages with customers, clients, and internal stakeholders to understand strategies and objectives
- Hands-on responsibility for an appropriate number of shopper insights clients
- Facilitate the process, and provide the direction for, all client inquiries involving Shopper Data purchases.
- Sell Shopper loyalty program analytic capabilities and services to current and prospective clients
Presentation Development/Delivery
- Participates in new client interviews as a shopper loyalty program subject matter expert (SME)
- Creates insight driven presentations, integrating multiple data sources, with actionable and quantifiable tactics and strategies
- Develops creative presentations with an eye toward story-telling, focused on flow, visualizations, headlines, and using Company's Branding Guidelines
Associate Development
- Provide guidance to a team of direct reports with respect to analytic process, data integration, and data interpretation
- Coordinate and facilitate regular best practice share group meetings with the Company's clients and within the internal Company's Ai2 team both at the national and local level
- Proactively builds personal skill set by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and developing and maintaining personal networks to keep their skills at least at par with client counterparts as well as the data provider’s client lead
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Direct Reports
- Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources
Indirect Reports
- May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports
Travel and/or Driving Requirements:
- Travel is an essential duty and function of this job
- Travel up to 25%
Minimum Qualifications The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job
Education Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
(Preferred): MBA Degree or equivalent experience
Field of Study/Area of Experience:
8+ years of experience in managing shopper loyalty program data for multiply clients/categories across a wide range of available shopper loyalty program analytics

- Microsoft Office experience: Mastery of Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Syndicated Data experience: Mastery of IRI, Nielsen, and other relevant platforms preferred
- Deep experience with application of shopper panel data and geodemographic data sets….including experience in management and application of the following types of shopper data analytics: concept tests, usage and attitudes, brand positioning, shopper and store segmentation, shopper targeted communication/merchandising vehicles, packaging, store scanner analysis, consumer tracking, and ethnic research.
- Complete understanding and application of principles and practices of Category Management (analysis of assortment, pricing, promotion, shelving, shopper) with tangible value creation from projects
- Aptitude for incorporating all available data sources (POS, scan, panel, shopper, demographic, and shopper) into a comprehensive solution.
- Passion for development of self and others
- Demonstrated ability to manage, lead, mentor, and inspire
Environmental & Physical Requirements:
Office / Sedentary Requirements: Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment.Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
