As the visionary leader of this important program, you'll have the chance to make a real impact on the lives of individuals and families in need. From implementing innovative solutions to advocating for the homeless population, your problem-solving skills and empathetic approach will shine in this role.
As the Director for Sixth Street Shelter, you will lead a dedicated team of community advocates and case managers, and focus on program development, financial management, and grant administration. From supervising shelter operations to advocating for our program participants, you will have the opportunity to drive innovative solutions and implement long-term plans to meet program goals and ensure the greatest impact.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
To excel in the role of Director of Sixth Street Shelter at Community Action Committee of Lehigh Valley, you'll need a Bachelor's degree in human services or related field. Though a Master's degree in social work is preferred, we may consider advanced professional experienced in lieu of a formal degree. At least five years of progressive experience in Human Services or Social Work field is crucial, along with strong residential experience and data analysis skills.
As leader of the Sixth Street Shelter you will need strong administration and financial management skills. Your ability to work within an empowerment model of service and lead and manage personnel will also be essential. Proficiency in computer systems, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are a must for success in this role. Your flexibility, adaptability, and creative problem-solving capabilities will also help set you up to be successful and make your impact in this position.
