About the Role:
Salesforce.com and Veeva Commercial Suite are the engines running our commercial and customer service operations and are critical components of our software stack. As a member of the Business Applications leadership team, you will drive discussions with key business stakeholders to define and implement the vision and technical architecture for this operation.
This role requires that you work onsite at our office in Palo Alto, CA in accordance with our hybrid policy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide advice to business leaders, collaborate with key users, product management, business analysts and team members to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality, scalable technical solutions.
- Lead solution design sessions with business partners and technical teams, helping to translate requirements/business rules into detailed technical specifications.
- Responsibilities beyond development of software may include participation in component and data architecture design, technology planning, product evaluation, advanced testing processes and buy vs. build recommendations.
- Provide input to project plans related to the application development initiatives.
- Lead major projects/programs providing subject matter expertise and technical direction.
- Manage the implementation and maintenance of Salesforce configuration, custom objects, schema, and flows and their connections to our enterprise business platforms.
- Summarize technical designs and changes to a non-technical audience while providing direction to the delivery team.
- Create and ensure standards are followed to safeguard the integrity of the Salesforce instance and data flowing across system integrations.
- Manage vendors and consultants as necessary.
Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge and experience in Salesforce.com development, design and delivery of complex business solutions built on the Force.com platform, Sales and Service Cloud, and various technology stacks outside of Salesforce.com to support integrations.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in Veeva Commercial suite of products including configuration, design and delivery of complex business solutions is a huge plus for this role.
- Proven track record of putting the customer first (patient first attitude) and a passion for delivering outstanding solutions leveraging all aspects of the Salesforce platform.
- Expertise in multiple technical environments and possesses business knowledge that spans multiple business areas (Customer Care, Reimbursement, Sales and Marketing, Customer and Product Master Data Management) and Knowledge of Order Management, Billing and Business Rules Engine implementation are essential.
- Experience building scalable solutions through mature processes, not people.
- 15+ years overall experience and experience in the Software industry will be preferred.
- 7+ years of relevant technical leadership experience with Salesforce system ownership and implementation, preferably with instances that contain 200 users or more.
- 5+ years in a people management role.
- Experience with multiple full-lifecycle Salesforce CRM implementations, including managing technical project teams.
- Salesforce Certification(s) / Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) is a strong plus.
- Experience across Salesforce Sales Cloud, CPQ, Einstein Analytics, Service Cloud and Mulesoft Platform.
- Familiar with Strategic Vendor relationship Management when it comes to Salesforce.
- Experience with PropelPLM, Salesforce Health Cloud is a plus.
- Experience with Agile methodology for Salesforce development work.
- Translate business stakeholders' requests into technical solutions that will grow with the business's needs.
- Experience with managing data in a regulated healthcare environment (HIPAA compliant) is a plus.
- Strong aesthetic sensibility that supports clear visual communication of quantitative information.
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, CS, or related area.
Additional Information
Hybrid Work Model: At Guardant Health, we have defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. We have found aligning our scheduled in-office days allows our teams to do the best work and creates the focused thinking time our innovative work requires. For positions based in Palo Alto, CA or Redwood City, CA, the base salary range for this full-time position is $224,800 to $303,500. The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity.
Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. If you are selected to move forward, the recruiting team will provide details specific to the factors above.
Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
