The School of Nursing seeks a Director of Strategic Initiatives supporting the Office of Academic Advancement and the Associate Dean of Academic Advancement. JOB DESCRIPTION: + Reporting to the School of Nursing's Associate Dean of Academic Advancement (ADAA). + Manages strategic initiatives for the Office of Academic Advancement in the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing. + Manages all aspects of the strategic plans, including project management, implementation, and execution. + Oversee special projects and initiatives across units (SON Associate and Assistant Deans, Woodruff Health Sciences Center, Emory Healthcare, external partners). + Liaison between ADAA and other departments/units (Woodruff Health Sciences Center, Provost, Human Resources, Office of General Council, Ombud, Title VI, IX, etc.). + Manage communication between OAA and internal and external units. + Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships across units and external partners. + Represent ADAA in meetings when necessary. + Coordinate administrative operations with Assistant Deans of the Academic Advancement department. + Manage the ADAA schedule and priorities. + Gathers data and develops qualitative and quantitative analyses, including written documents, flow charts, presentations, and/or spreadsheets. + Able to provide recommendations based on the data analysis. + Work with SON resources to align publication opportunities for faculty. + May be asked to plan, write, and/or edit articles, grant proposals, letters of support, faculty biographical sketches, etc. + May hire, supervise, and evaluate staff or students. + Perform other duties as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: + Master's degree in health sciences, public health, or business administration and five years of writing experience, including contributions to journal articles, formal papers, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training. + Proven strategic planning, project management, advanced problem-solving, and analytical skills are required. + Understanding of the higher education landscape, particularly in a school of nursing. + Supervisory experience is required. A Ph.D. is preferred. NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
