The Director II- Strategic Sourcing will direct the strategic sourcing functional activity to manage the company's indirect spend through category specific management and support of the business. The director's responsibilities include supplier diversity programs and goals, supplier review, supplier selection and contract negotiations, including the company's third-party contract management system. Categories include corporate services, travel, information systems, digital and marketing suppliers, as well as categories to support the operation of CHG's business. The director is also responsible for putting into place best practices and new standards, and developing tangible and measurable operational metrics.
Responsibilities:
- Understand and live CHG's purpose and core values.
- Lead the strategic sourcing process that leverages scale, maximizes supplier relationships, minimizes risks and drives business value.
- Engage with key business stakeholders in make versus buy analysis and work cross-functionally in developing and executing sourcing strategies.
- Establish strategic relationships with third party supply base and develop supplier management strategies.
- L ead contract negotiations, implement performance based contracts and identify opportunities to reduce total cost of ownership.
- Provide strategic input as to economic and business situations as they effect suppliers, supplier processes and CHG's ability to procure goods and services in a timely and cost effective manner.
- Develop support, buy-in and participation from senior executive leadership. Lead/facilitate cross-functional teams to enable strategic sourcing and supply management for assigned categories.
- Proven leadership capabilities of high-performing teams.
- Liaise with private equity firms' sourcing teams and network with portfolio company peers to identify and implement sourcing best practices, tools, etc.
- Develop and maintaining expert knowledge of respective supply markets.
- Develop annual cost reduction plans, including spend projections for input to the budgeting process.
Qualifications:
- Proven ability to understand the business environment (business model, competitive landscape, processes, revenue/cost drivers, KPIs, etc.).
- Demonstrated organizational and collaboration skills and the ability to influence leadership and key internal stakeholders.
- Strong relationship management skills including partnering and consulting with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to present ideas and information in a group setting, including creating and delivering executive-level summary reports and presentations.
- Experience in negotiating large, complex multi-million dollar contracts.
- Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and organizational skills.
- Excellent analytical thinking and technical analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in business management, marketing, accounting, supply chain management or related field
- 6-8 years of progressive indirect procurement related experience
- 4-8 years of demonstrated people leadership experience
- MBA
- Experience in a service based industry
- Specific category management experience in Marketing and/or Digital categories.
We believe in fair compensation for all of our people, which is why our pay structure takes into account the cost of labor across U.S. geographic markets. For this position, we offer a pay range of $114,300 -- $276,900 annually, with pay varying depending on work location and job-related factors such as knowledge, position level and experience. CHG Healthcare offers starting salaries for sales positions in the form of total target compensation (TTC = base + commission + bonus), which includes base pay, commission, and bonuses. Sales positions receive short-term incentives through commission plans and bonuses. On the other hand, non-sales positions have starting salaries that consist of a base salary and short-term incentives through various bonus plans, which are paid out monthly, quarterly, or annually.
