Director, Supply Chain
Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Director, Supply Chain to lead and oversee the ongoing development and execution of our overall supply chain strategy while leading a team of managers responsible for Production Planning, Procurement, and Product data management groups. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading these critical functions in Supply Chain to support the organization’s goals and strategy.
What you will be doing:
- Goals and Objectives: Ensure that organization’s goals and objectives are executed through the supply chain organization while working cross functionally with other departments.
- Production Planning Strategies: Coordinating with sales and production to ensure materials are available according to demand while minimizing overstocking situations using best-in-class production planning /materials requirement methodologies suitable for a manufacturing environment.
- Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating risks within the supply chain, including material shortages, geopolitical risks, and market volatility.
- Supplier Management: Building and maintaining strong mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers, monitoring supplier performance, negotiating contracts and ensuring they meet quality, cost, pay terms and delivery targets.
- Compliance and Ethics: Ensuring that all procurement activities comply with industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards.
- Strategic Planning: Continue developing and implementing supply chain strategies that align with company objectives, focusing on cost efficiency, quality improvement, and timely delivery of products.
- Team Leadership: Leading and developing a team of Procurement, Production planning, and Product Data Management (PDM) professionals, providing guidance, and setting performance expectations.
- Inventory Control: Managing inventory levels to meet production demands while minimizing waste and reducing holding costs.
- Product Data Management: Managing improvements to product data including accuracy of BOMs, item set ups, rates, and routings.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyzing trends, supplier performance, and market conditions to make informed decisions. Reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cost savings and working capital improvements.
The skills and experience you need:
- Bachelor’s degree at minimum or relevant experience in Supply Chain Management
- Senior-level Supply Chain management experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
- Strong team leadership and collaboration capabilities.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong history of continuously improving supply chain processes to be efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with business objectives.
- Experience in best-in-class production planning / demand planning methodologies
- Category / commodity management experience in raw materials
