Job Summary/Objective:

The main purpose of this job is to provide strategic leadership and guidance in the delivery of Southwire’s overall operational sustainability strategy. This role will be highly visible and may support all levels and Supply Chain members of the Southwire organization with situational (strategic-operational) project execution. The successful candidate will be expected to drive the initiatives via a high level of communication, community building in combination with technical aptitude and agility in the changing world of sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sustainability program deployment and enterprise level strategy execution and/or individual support at the sites including but not limited to:
- Sustainability assessment guidance and support (knowledge in retro commissioning, LEED and ASHRAE guidelines)
- Design and deployment of sustainability processes, projects & standards, including site level OPEX and CAPEX roadmap review and Life Cycle Studies
- EMS/BMS standardization and other sustainability platform deployment support including AI
- Campus Energy managers objective management and talent development
2. Successful delivery of change management at our sites, including mid to senior leadership to support the sustainability agenda with hearts & minds. Ability to craft situational communication methods to ensure audience engagement & understanding.
3. Sustainability training content development and deployment for our site team members, engineers and leadership teams
4. Collaboration with key stakeholders to deliver value to our customers (CSCs and manufacturing sites). Connect and build strength with other functions – being a key partner to corporate sustainability, operations and EHS
5. Gather, review, evaluate and deliver all the appropriate sustainability Data and Metrics to enable and support decisions
6. EHS - Promote health and safety in all aspects of the work. Include environmental considerations in the decision-making process.
Education, Experience, and Skills
Required Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's
Specialized Degree: Engineering, Environmental, Science or Related
Certificates: Driver’s License
Years of Experience: 10+
Field of Expertise: Engineering, Sustainability, Project Management, ESG, LEED Certification, Utilities Design & Optimization, Change Management, Lean, ASHRAE, Water Stewardship
Preferred Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's
Specialized Degree: Engineering, Environmental, Science or Related
Certificates: LEED
Years of Experience: 15+
Preferred Field of Expertise: Required Fields of Expertise plus experience with Power Systems, Retro commissioning, Green Building Design
Other Preferred Skills, Licenses, & Certificates: Functional with Microsoft Office, SAP, commissioning, handheld metering devices
