About the role
Since its redesign, the Rippling brand has become a huge asset and differentiator for the company. Now, with the respect and trust of stakeholders at all levels, we are responsible for stewarding the brand across every touchpoint on the web with craft and care.
We are looking for a Director, UX Design to lead the next phase of growth of one of our most important marketing properties: Rippling.com. This role will be a senior leader on our Brand Studio team, reporting to the VP of Brand and Creative.
The ideal candidate brings a depth of experience in managing a marketing site with a complex and growing product portfolio, multiple audiences, robust content engine, and an expanding series of brand campaigns, events, programs, and initiatives. This person will lead a multidisciplinary team of designers, copywriters, and project managers while working cross-functionally to build our quarterly roadmap, identify and prioritize the most impactful initiatives, scale our self-service tools, and maintain a high bar of creative excellence.
What you will do
- Partner with Go To Market to launch new product pages, finding the balance between innovative, competitively differentiated experiences and efficient speed to market.
- Partner with Content to prioritize and develop strategies that elevate and effectively utilize the growing number of resources (blogs, ebooks, webinars, etc.) the team is creating.
- Partner with Global GTMs and Marketing Ops to refine our localization process and ensure we are developing scalable solutions as we expand into more regions.
- Partner with Growth Marketing to develop a testing and iteration strategy that includes self-service tooling and hands-on support to improve performance and time to market of paid LPs.
- Partner with Marketing Ops to develop a rigorous testing methodology, including qualitative and quantitative approaches. Use analytics to drive prioritization as well as design solutions.
- Bring an informed perspective to our development stack, making recommendations as we evaluate different vendors and approaches to scale more effectively.
- Manage and inspire a team of cross-disciplinary designers, copywriters, and operations to deliver exceptional and competitively differentiated creative solutions on time and on budget.
- Bring an exceptional eye for design, details, and a genuine love for the craft.
- Ensure the quality of design through rigorous QA.
What you will need
- 10+ years of experience in web design and 3+ years managing a team.
- Experience partnering cross-functionally in a leadership role to define a roadmap and improve operational efficiency.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, define projects, and resource teams effectively.
- Ability to translate data insights into design briefs and lead a team towards performance-based outcomes.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices, analytics tools, development languages (HTML, CSS, etc.), CMSs (Wordpress, Contentful), agile methodologies, and responsive design principles.
- A keen eye for detail and a love for the craft, able to inform and guide conceptual wireframes and visual design as well as provide rigorous QA.
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe CS, Asana, JIRA, Google Workspace, Slack.
- Expert communication skills, especially with executive stakeholders.

The pay range for this role is:
150,000 - 262,500 USD per year (US Tier 1)
