About the Job
The Director of Women's Services is a strategic leadership position tasked with overseeing the comprehensive range of services dedicated to women’s health. This role requires a visionary individual committed to promoting excellence in patient care and advancing the department’s objectives within the healthcare facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
- Direct and evaluate departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
- Plan and monitor staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
- Prepare, monitor, and evaluate departmental budgets, ensuring compliance with allocated funding.
- Coordinate and direct internal/external audits.
- Create and foster an environment that encourages professional growth.
- Integrate evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
- Act as a resource for staff regarding obstetrical and/or neonate concerns.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Registered Nurse licensed to work in the State of Kentucky.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP)
- AWHON
- Associate’s Degree Required
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
