Position Overview
The Disclosure Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all required mortgage disclosures are accurately prepared and provided to borrowers in accordance with regulatory requirements. A Disclosure Specialist should have strong attention to detail, knowledge of mortgage regulations, and excellent communication skills to effectively interact with both internal teams and borrowers.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, possessing excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication (both written and oral), and telephone etiquette skills.
Key Responsibilities
- PREPARATION OF DISCLOSURES: Generate and review various mortgage disclosures, such as the Loan Estimate (LE), Initial Closing Disclosures (ICD) and Post-Consummation Closing Disclosures (PCCD), ensuring they are accurate, complete, and provided to borrowers within regulatory timeframe.
- REGULATORY COMPLIANCE: Stay updated on federal and state regulations related to mortgage disclosures to ensure compliance and to implement necessary changes in practices.
- DOCUMENTATION MANAGEMENT: Maintain and organize disclosure documents, ensuring they are properly filed and easily accessible for audits and future reference.
- COORDINATION WITH TEAMS: Work closely with loan officers, processors, secondary, underwriting and closing, to gather the necessary information and ensure that disclosures reflect the correct loan term and conditions.
