DISHWASHER & BUSSER - JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for motivated general utility/dishwasher and bussers that are responsible for the cleaning of dishes, kitchen, food preparation equipment, and utensils. As well as, general facilities maintenance and small food prep during non-peak hours.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

★  Assumes 100% responsibility for the cleanliness of dishware

★  Clean and prepare various foods for cooking or service.

★  Assisting kitchen with prep work during off peak hours.

★  Load or unload trucks that deliver or pick up food and supplies.

★  Receive and store supplies.

★  Stock supplies such as food and utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and salad bars.

★  Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks.

★  Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand.

★  Clean up spills or broken glassware immediately.

★  Clean garbage cans with water or steam.

★  Maintain kitchen floor work areas, equipment in clean and orderly condition.

★  You are responsible for the back dock and dumpster areas. You must maintain these areas so that they are free from debris at all times, to prevent the unsanitary habitation of rodents.

★  Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.

★  Mop walk-in cooler nightly!!

★  Sets up dish machine in the AM and closes down machine in the PM according to

company procedures.

★  Responsible for completing daily cleaning checklist at shift end

Weekly/Daily Checklist / Schedule of Duties:

1. Always arrive at least 5 minutes before your scheduled time

2. Always come to work with clean clothing

3. Communicates proficiently with other kitchen staff members

4. Properly wash all glassware, dishware, and plateware

5. Use caution to not break materials.

6. Complete “Dish” opening/closing checklist

7. Sunday Night - DETAIL DISH MACHINE AND POLISH
